Everything You Need To Know About The Dyson Headphones

The most anticipated piece of tech that the world is excited to use/try/see is of course from the Dyson world itself. The new release of their version of a pair of headphones with the inclusion of an air purification has taken over the world on social media. But why are Dyson now trying the headphone sector of technology, especially straight off the bat of apple’s release of their own new AirPods Pro headphones?
The Dyson Zone, the latest technology introduced by Dyson is described as “Pure Audio. Pure Air. Anywhere.” It is filled with industry leading noise cancellation, full audio spectrum, and ultra-low distortion, which of course is nothing less than what the public expects from such a pioneering brand like Dyson. Yet whilst noise cancellation is a USP that Apple honed in on when releasing their ear/head-phone products, Dyson have taken their innovation one step forward with the inclusion of an attachable contact-free visor which channels purified air, and connects to the MyDyson App for real time environment updates
Dyson, through the inclusion of the attachment and the synchronisation of the app, is showing the world how it is a company that is focusing on helping the environment, but also a company based on innovation by responding to past events. The inclusion of the purified airflow not only removes 99% of ultra fine particles to filter out city fumes, but also viruses to deliver purified air that the customers will breathe in. Dyson is addressing two major issues and concerns in society, air pollution and disease outbreak, due to COVID-19. The Electrostatic filter will be the one to catch small microns, including allergens, and the activated carbon filter will absorb the dirty city fumes, including nitrogen dioxide. It really is game-changing, especially after the covid days when wearing a mask on public transport was compulsory to protect everyone from the deadly disease, this innovation will allow those travelling on public transport, now and in the future, who have hygiene concerns either prior or post pandemic, to travel with ease.
The inclusion of the MyDyson app exclusive features that connect with the headphones is an added bonus to help combat the environmental issues we face in society, as the app allows the consumer to monitor the air quality. The sensors in the headphones measure the air quality surrounding the product, and will therefore indicate when to activate the purifier. Another added bonus to the new features on the app is the ability to see the city’s air quality index (AQI) and visualise on the consumers phone all air-related results.
As a beauty and lifestyle fanatic, I have my own reasoning for loving these new headphones, and my own appreciation for the air purifier. I have had many problems in the past with my skin and acne, and know for a fact that contaminated/polluted air only fulled my acne problem. So I appreciate the inclusion of the air purifier as this will help skin be able to breathe, and hopefully keep it just that little bit cleaner, by keeping it fresh and protected against city air.
Whilst many have chosen to comment on the new headphones on TikTok, in classic generational z humour, through memes saying how the headphones look like “transformers” and that “people who suffer with asthma are going to go mad over these headphones”, most are appreciative and understand the importance of the headphones as a technological innovation. I must admit when I first saw the design I was a little confused, and did myself think they looked like something from a MARVEL movie. However, after researching about the product I now understand how unique and necessary they are. They are now definitely on my future purchase list.
