What do 800,000 sunflowers, a billionaire inventor, and the future of glossy hair have in common? Dyson, of course.
Known for revolutionising the vacuum cleaner, air purifier and hair dryer (hello Supersonic), the tech giant is now making waves in haircare – but this time, it’s not about gadgets. It’s about growing good hair. Yes, you read that right.
Introducing Dyson Omega, the brand’s second foray into formulations and possibly its most unexpected beauty launch yet. Powered by a proprietary blend of seven omega-rich oils and a decade of farming expertise, this new nourishing range brings together Dyson’s signature scientific rigor and a whole lot of agricultural swagger.
Grown on Dyson’s own farms in Lincolnshire, these sunflowers are more than pretty: they’re rich in omega 6 and 9 fatty acids, perfect for hydrating dry, frizzy hair. Dyson spent years trialling over 60 varieties to create a sunflower oil that’s light, fast-absorbing and incredibly effective.
The range includes:
- Hydrating Hair Oil (£45.99) – silicone-free, antioxidant-rich, and silky without the weight.
- Leave-In Conditioning Spray (£59.99 / £49.99 refill) – an 8-in-1 mist that detangles, strengthens and protects against heat and UV.

Both products are infused with the Dyson Oli7 blend, which is a mix of seven omega-rich oils including olive, avocado, sesame and Dyson’s own sunflower oil.
Designed for all hair types, they nourish deeply, protect from damage, and leave hair smooth and shiny. The scent? Clean, fresh citrus meets soft florals and warm musk – think haircare meets high-end fragrance.
Launching 27 August at Dyson Demo Stores, select retailers and dyson.co.uk.
Haircare that starts in a sunflower field? Only Dyson could make that work.
