WEB3 And Jewellery Collide, Creating Kaveras

Marie Kim’s innovative approach with KAVERAS and Vivian Zhang’s vision for SOLAIRE offer a compelling glimpse into the future of commerce and luxury, where blockchain technology not only enhances consumer experiences but also fosters sustainability, authenticity, and personalization in a rapidly evolving digital world.
Marie Kim, CEO of KAVERAS, shares insights into how their brand is integrating blockchain technology into its products, creating a unique blend of physical and digital experiences for consumers.
KAVERAS is an innovative high-end jewelry brand focusing on Web3 and the metaverse. Could you explain how the brand introduces wearables unparalleled in these spaces and how it incorporates blockchain technology into its jewelry?
As a retailer, we are aware of the growing trend in high-end fashion and marketing towards the metaverse and web3. We recognize that this is a transitional phase between web2 and web3 and want to provide our customers with the opportunity to be at the forefront of this experience with our pieces. Additionally, we understand the importance of authenticity in the luxury space, which is why we have decided to apply it to Kaveras and leverage it to give provenance and assurance to our clientele. We combine our physical product with an NFT (non-fungible token) to allow our customers to prove (on blockchain) and have guarantee where the gemstones were sourced/came from.
Additionally, this community provides its members with a sense of exclusivity and belonging, which is often missing in today’s digital world. It is a space where like-minded individuals can come together, share their passions, and be a part of something special.
Aside from certification of ownership, provenance and royalties, Kaveras NFT holders will be part of what we call the Kaveras ‘Noble Community’/noble community member. Within the community we are offering exclusive utility enticements or incentives. How many or which will depend on, or be classified, by grade to investment of each piece.
In summary, the new noble community is a community built around shared interests, experiences, and opportunities. It is about creating a space for like-minded individuals to come together, share their passions and be a part of something special, all while enjoying the exclusivity and luxury lifestyle that our pieces embody.
The concept of ‘energy’ is a central theme in all KAVERAS collections. Could you share how this theme is translated into the design and experience of wearing the pieces? What is the significance of this theme to your brand and customers?
The brand concept originates from creation’ or creation of a new world. Paramount is the concept of ‘beginnings’, and hence, this theme runs through its first 3 collections: Prana, Triad & Taecho, with a focus on innovation and creativity for the future of digital fashion. Showcasing ‘energy’ as a primary theme in all their collections, the brand aims to provide their customers with a sense of freedom, height and power when wearing the pieces.

An example of this is a ring we make out of meteorite. Consider the energy that once was within this stone cannot be measured as it once was part of a comet, asteroid, or meteoroid in outer space. It had to have survived its passage through the atmosphere to reach earth.
Sustainability is a key aspect of KAVERAS’ branding. Could you provide more insight into how you ensure sustainability in the production of fine jewelry and what impact it has on the environment and your community members?
We set sustainability at the forefront in our branding, hence none of the Kaveras pieces, within any collection, are bespoke produced to avoid unnecessary carbon emissions. To produce any jewelry it involves a certain amount of energy and resources, hence, we reduce greenhouse gas emissions and pollution until we know for sure there is a need to make it (and do our part for the environment!)
KAVERAS offers a unique experience for community members through AR, VR, and AI. Can you elaborate on how customers can engage with these technologies and what they can expect from this immersive experience?
The ability to wear jewelry or fashion now in AR, VR, and AI introduces a new way for customers to create conversations within their communities. Say for example, someone didn’t bring the ring or wear it to a particular party but could wear it virtually to show a friend and tell them about one of our events and how they came across it. Other case scenarios might be more serious, as to the piece being stolen or lost, and when making an insurance claim they would want to know what the piece looked like. Hence, if you have the AR or VR version of the piece you can fully illustrate the exact piece for the insurance claim. As the technology is still not widely available to many brands, of course, there is a ‘wow’ factor that our community members can create in conversations with our pieces.
KAVERAS is also partnering with STYLE AI and A FORM. Can you elaborate on the roles and contributions of these partners in creating a seamless Web3 experience for consumers in the fashion and metaverse realms?
Both STYLE AI and A form are partners that help to create the AR, VR, and AI digital twins of our physical pieces. These partners are essential to Kaveras, as it is our way of creating the pieces also without creating them, and again, being more sustainable. Our clientele are able to fully try on and view the pieces before they become physical pieces. As a jewelers, it is also a better way of travelling with the pieces for exhibitions or shows, or meetings, as we never have to worry about insurance or the pieces being lost or stolen. Both these partners create a seamless web3 experience for our consumers, as those who are already in metaverse realms can also wear the piece in the metaverse within metaverse meet ups or events. What our partners do gives security and freedom to those who own a piece of Kaveras jewelry.
Vivien Zhang, the dynamic CEO of SOLAIRE, delves into the revolutionary Web3 commerce infrastructure that SOLAIRE is pioneering. This groundbreaking platform is designed to seamlessly connect and automate various sectors, including fashion, sports, entertainment, and culture, through blockchain technology.
SOLAIRE is described as a new Web3 commerce infrastructure. Could you delve into the specific features and services that SOLAIRE offers to connect and automate the consumer sector across fashion, sports, entertainment, and culture?
Over the next few years, commerce data infrastructure will be upgraded from isolated cloud storage to Blockchain – a shared database. This new underlying data infrastructure will give IP owners ( whether you are in fashion, sports, music or fine art) the ability to follow an item throughout its life cycle after it is sold. We enable trust and transparency through blockchain-secured data, to cut out the middleman in everyday commerce transactions. For example, sports teams and musicians can now easily measure the worth of the IP regardless of the medium or the intermediary, and will be able to connect directly with their fans. For fashion and fine art, resale can be done peer-to-peer, without relying on a third party for authentication or dispute management. Our everyday commerce activities will be recorded on an immutable, shared database to facilitate trust and efficiency.
The Solaire Consumer CRM Wallet infrastructure enables on-chain commerce and covers various areas relevant to retail and e-retailing. Could you explain how this infrastructure benefits both retailers and consumers, especially in terms of sustainability, authenticity, and personalization?
Under the EU DPP requirement, every physical item needs to be accompanied by a digital passport detailing its provenance and material composition. When that digital passport is registered on blockchain and delivered to the customer in the form of an NFT, the NFT becomes the vehicle for rich content that can include authenticity, storytelling, care instructions, marketing materials, and clienteling efforts. The NFT and customer’s wallet that holds the NFT becomes a channel of communication between the brand and the consumer. It allows brands to permanently attach stories to an item even after the item was sold, gives them a channel to engage with customers post-sale and feed back data on customer’s engagement with the brand and the item.
Leveraging the storytelling nature of the digital passport NFT, consumers can personalize their possession by attaching sentimental value to it, the content will live permanently with the product on blockchain. Sustainability is achieved when resale is made effortless. Consumers can now easily purchase items in the secondary marketplace with trust, while brands can capture resale revenue and data to improve business planning for the future.
Could you clarify how SOLAIRE contributes to the integration of Web3 technologies while maintaining the Web2 philosophy, as mentioned in the partnership with KAVERAS? What are the key principles guiding SOLAIRE in this regard?
The one key principle Solaire upholds is to provide a GREAT customer experience. We removed all the clunkiness of using Web3 technology, and created a customer experience that feels no different than an everyday shopping experience on Web2. Our mission is to improve and streamline the current customer experience with added benefits from blockchain, without the customers realizing it as the Web3 technology seamlessly runs in the background.
