Instead of keeping the world at arm’s length (or worse, missing out on the action completely as you struggle with your smartphone’s lock screen), Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses let you snap a photo or video clip from your unique point of view—allowing you to not only relive the moment, but really live in the moment, too.

Meta and Ray Ban have redesigned their next-generation glasses from the ground up, listening to feedback from the community and taking the time to understand what people love about the product—like the effortlessly cool form factor, hands-free convenience, and open-ear audio—and the areas where we could improve, like overall media quality and comfort. They’ve improved all those core features of the first generation and added completely new features.

Listen Up: Improved Audio

Whether you’re listening to podcasts and music or taking phone calls on the go, our next-gen smart glasses are a huge step up. We have all-new custom designed speakers with extended bass, higher maximum volume, and improved directional audio that provides reduced audio leakage for improved calls, music, and podcasts—even in noisy or windy environments. In fact, Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses double the bass and deliver 50% louder sound compared to the first generation. And when you’re recording a video, the newly designed five-microphone array supports immersive audio recording, so you’ll be able to capture sounds exactly how you originally experienced them—whether in front of you, from the sides, the rear, and even above.

Share Your Point of View

A new ultra-wide 12 MP camera translates to improved quality for your photos and 1080p videos up to 60 seconds, so whether you’re taking in breathtaking views during a hike or living your best life at an art show, the evidence of your exploits will be as epic as the real deal. You can even directly share photos to friends and family from your glasses with a simple “send a photo” voice command.

Images are automatically taken in portrait orientation and optimized to capture your point of view, hands-free, so you can share an authentic perspective of whatever you’re doing. And we’ve made sharing even easier with our new and improved Meta View app, where you can share to your favorite apps with a single tap.

Power Up

Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses are powered by the all-new Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen1 Platform, which enables higher quality photo and video processing and even faster compute. And the glasses come with a redesigned and sleek charging case, which holds up to eight additional charges (for a total of 36 hours of use) while being slimmer and even smaller—making Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses the perfect grab-and-go companion for wherever the day may take you.

The Look & Feel(s)

The Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses collection comes in the timeless Wayfarer style you already know and love (in standard and large sizes), plus a brand-new Headliner design for a more retro look—both of which are available in Matte Black and Shiny Black. We’re also introducing three new transparent frame colors in Jeans, Rebel Black, and Caramel that celebrate the tech inside. And with over 150 different custom frame and lens combinations on the Ray-Ban Remix platform, you can mix and match to make the glasses your own on ray-ban.com.

We’ve designed Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses to be prescription lens-compatible. Customers can either order a complete pair of prescription glasses or get prescription lenses added at their preferred eye care provider or at a Ray-Ban Meta certified optical retailer.*** We’re also providing more prescription lens options to meet a variety of customer needs and price points. Customers can get Ray-Ban Authentic or unbranded prescription lenses as clear, sun, or Transitions® lenses, as well as in a variety of lens materials, optical designs, treatments, and coatings including premium Essilor lenses like EyeZen® and Varilux®, as well as Crizal® anti-reflective coating.

Comfort & Control

We reduced the weight of the glasses and slimmed down the profile in every direction, making them lighter and more comfortable. We also improved the weight distribution and adopted a more universal nose fit with rubber pads to ensure you have good support. And the glasses are now water-resistant (IPX4), so your glasses are safe even if light splashes of water touch them.

We improved the touchpad so the glasses respond much faster and more reliably to your commands. We also added a sensor that automatically pauses your music when you take the glasses off, and the glasses automatically go into low-power mode when not in use for an extended period of time.

Hands-Free Livestreaming

Capturing and sharing the world from your point of view is something smart glasses are uniquely good at. We’ve also heard from creators that they want more ways to capture and share content with their community in a more personal way. So we’re giving them the ability to easily livestream their first-person POV directly from the glasses to Instagram or Facebook. You can even see the comments in your preview, or hear them out loud to engage with your community as you’re living in the moment.

Meta AI: Putting the “Smart” in “Smart Glasses”

We’ve integrated Meta AI on Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses and optimized it for a hands-free, on-the-go experience. By saying “Hey Meta,” people can engage with Meta AI to spark creativity, get information, and control your glasses—just by using their voice.

Meta AI features will be available in the US in beta only at launch. We plan to expand availability and the types of questions you can ask over time, improving on the product experience based on user feedback. And in the future, you won’t just be able to speak with your glasses —you’ll be able to use Ray-Ban Meta’s smart glasses cameras to show it things, too, unlocking a whole new range of multi-modal AI-powered capabilities.

Privacy Protections

Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses are built with privacy at their core. The Meta View App gives you easy access to privacy settings where you can manage your information and choose whether to share your additional data with Meta to improve the app and glasses. We’ve also made the blinking privacy LED on the outside of the glasses bigger and more noticeable, so people know when someone is capturing photos or video or livestreaming from the glasses.
