Nastro Is In ‘The Honeymoon Phase’ With Her Tesla

I had just finished a yoga class, and I decided I didn’t fancy the 2 – change tube journey back, so I ordered a Bolt and to my surprise a Tesla Model 3 was coming my way.

Meet Nastro, from the second I got into her custom wrapped Tesla, I knew this ride was going to be interesting. As a tech writer, I am always on the hunt for the next story. This was it – a first hand account of the Tesla Model 3.

Nastro has the Model 3 long range Tesla, she explained to me that the higher range was important to her. The lower range model can do about 305 miles range from one charge, compared to the longer range offering an impressive 360 miles

‘Do you like your Tesla?’ I ask Nastro, expecting a vague answer.

‘I LOVEEEE MY TESLA’ she exclaims, ‘we are still in the honeymoon phase, i’ve only had her a month!’.

Nastro explains how she ordered her Tesla Model 3 in March, and only received it last month, but already she adores it.

The interior is sublime, sleek and sharp in design. The vegan leather seats are comfortable and have an elegant yet minimal design. As we drive through Hyde Park, there are people crossing the road all around us. Nastro tells me how the Tesla warns off those who get too close to it – a very extra safety feature.

As far as the technology goes – Tesla has it all. It is by far the most technologically advanced electric car on the market at the moment. There are ‘C’ charging points set between lights which separate the panoramic roof sections, as well as charging sockets on the back of the drivers seat armrest, giving multiple points to top-up your tech. The Tesla also features the wireless phone charger pad which sits in the middle console unit, below the iPad-like screen

Nastro shows me the cameras which allows you to see 360° around the Tesla, allowing for complete ease when parking and manoeuvring difficult spaces.

I find myself fascinated by the on-journey surroundings recognition technology which senses absolutely everything around you as you drive. People, bins, traffic lights, other vehicles – it can even decipher between cars, vans or lorries.

With her primary income being through Bolt, she detailed her frustration at the Government, as she submitted her application which allows electric cars to be exempt from congestion charge, but the process can take up to a month so she is still paying £12.50 a day to drive into the central zone for her work.

Tesla Model 3 starts at £41,990.
