Despite being dubbed the most magical time of the year, for many Brits it might not be as harmonious as you’d expect, as new research has revealed more than half of the nation (55%) are not on speaking terms with a friend or family member.  So, in the spirit of Christmas & togetherness, Moonpig has launched a brand new personalisation tool to help feuding Brits find the words to make amends.

The new research by Moonpig found that with the festive season just around the corner, two in three (67%) Brits are feeling reflective as they think Christmas is a good time to put their issues to bed. However, 44% of people even admitted they find it difficult to know what to say to make amends.

So, in a bid to help bring feuding Brits back together before Christmas, Moonpig’s new AI- powered Smart Text tool can craft thoughtful & personalised messages to help users find the right words to say. Particularly useful after a quarter (26%) admitted they would turn to the likes of an AI tool to help them draft a message when trying to make amends.

Guaranteed to make writing your Christmas cards easier this year, the new feature which appears in the editor toolbar as a magic symbol when starting to compose your message, gives (feuding) Brits the chance to type in a short prompt providing details about the recipient, occasion and even inside jokes or specific interests to contribute to generating a more personalised and meaningful message. Then all that’s left to do is sit back and watch as Smart Text generates a thoughtful, witty message that you can use as-is or customise to your heart’s content!

And, in a further attempt to help make light of the matter, Moonpig has launched a range of tongue in cheek Christmas cards featuring the most iconic celebrity fall outs of the year. After almost half (48%) said humour was one of the best ways to resolve an argument.

The new range features celebrity inspired designs of Prince Harry and Prince William, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian and Colleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy – and after three in five (62%) feuding Brits said they would value receiving a thoughtful, personal message such as a card or letter, Moonpig has also penned a suggested message using the new tool to help lend them a hand!

James Huppler VP of Product & Design at Moonpig, said:We’re pleased to have launched our new Smart AI Text tool ahead of Christmas. Many of our customers tell us that they struggle with the creative aspect of coming up with the perfect message to go inside their cards. Sometimes knowing what to say, whilst making sure it feels truly personal and heartfelt can be tricky. We hope that this Christmas will be different, as our new feature, coupled with the range of tongue-in-cheek Christmas cards can help lighten the mood and take some of the pressure off when writing your cards this festive season.”

Perfect for when inspiration escapes you, the new feature can be used across Moonpig’s entire range of cards for every occasion. From crafting messages for birthdays and anniversaries, Christmas to Valentine’s Day, the new AI-powered tool is designed to effortlessly compose heartfelt messages for your greeting cards.

The new Smart Text feature is the latest in a string of personalisation tools launched by Moonpig to help make your card mean more.
