“It was such an incredible experience to be in London for our first event! It felt surreal to see so many amazing women come together, network, and support each other. I’m so excited to continue watching our community grow!” ~ Mallory Stempfley, Femme Tech US Editor.

Some points for aspiring entrepreneurs that resonated from the session:

– Passion makes you great at what you do. You have to truly love it to stick with it and thrive through the ups and downs.

– Courage of conviction is important especially with multiple stakeholders with varying advice. The best entrepreneurs are confident to both synthesise this information but also understand that they know their business better than anyone.

– Explore all routes to growth. VC isn’t the only way. It can be great, but so can bootstrapping, crowd, angel funding, grants and organic growth. It depends on your business and explore them all.

– Finding your tribe is crucial. Identify your friends and peers in similar places (and those more advanced) and build those relationships. They will change your world during the hard times.

– Personal brand is a choice. Some people feel suited to being the face and voice of their brand, and others lead quietly. There is no right or wrong.
